Les microbes aussi ont leur technologie

Des centaines et des milliers d’années durant, l’homme n’a cessé d’évoluer, de faire des découvertes et des inventions aussi importantes les unes que les autres. On a pu ainsi éradiquer une grande série de maladies fatales qui ont fait des ravages dans l’histoire de l’humanité. On n’entend presque plus parler de variole, de polio, de choléra, de paludisme ou de rachitisme. En effet, on a découvert des tas de méthodes thérapeutiques et prophylactiques pour lutter contre les microorganismes qui nous empoisonnaient l’existence.

Mais parallèlement à cette évolution indéniable, ces êtres microscopiques évoluent aussi pour survivre selon les lois de l’existence. Ils s’adaptent de mieux en mieux à des conditions de vie qui étaient considérées auparavant comme défavorables à leur survie ou du moins à leur multiplication. Les microbes, virus et bactéries ont des machines propres à eux qui leur permettent de se reproduire et de s’adapter à un environnement considéré hostile.
Dans notre enfance, et pendant les nuits enneigées, nos parents nous conseillaient de bien nous couvrir pendant notre sommeil et de laisser les fenêtres ouvertes. On nous disait que la neige « nettoyait » l’atmosphère. Ce n’est pas une blague : les microorganismes ne résistaient pas au froid.

Mais de nos jours, et même en hiver, les insectes et les microbes parviennent à se multiplier.

Avez-vous jamais remarqué par exemple que le virus de la grippe devient de plus en plus résistant et que nos pauvres globules blancs trouvent beaucoup de mal à le combattre ?

Les bactéries résistent aux antibiotiques et les infections bactériennes ne régressent qu’avec la prise d’antibiotiques de plus en plus puissants. Eh, oui ! Ces minables et minuscules êtres vivants unicellulaires évoluent aussi et s’adaptent à leur nouvel environnement si hostile soit-il ! C’est pourquoi, le taux de maladies saisonnières est en hausse et qu’on éprouve des difficultés à les combattre !

Certes, il y a toujours des solutions abordables : l’antibiothérapie. Des ordonnances de plus en plus longues sont prescrites et le pharmacien en est le plus satisfait.

Mais méfiez-vous ! Ces ordonnances ne sont autres que des stocks de substances chimiques qui ne sont pas inoffensives vis-à-vis de notre organisme. Donc essayons au maximum de les éviter.

L’alternative ? Renforcer notre système immunitaire en renforçant ses petits soldats qui ne se lassent guère de veiller sur notre santé : Renforçons nos globules blancs en leur assurant le nécessaire en vitamines, en particulier la vitamine C.

Ce n’est pas sans raison valable que les oranges constituent les fruits rois de la saison froide. Leur richesse en vitamine C en fait le meilleur remède préventif des grippes et des rhumes

Ghadi News Beirut – Mr. Fadi Ghanem, President of the Ghadi Association, Chairman of the Environmental Media Group, and IUCN Members Network Coordinator, affirmed following his meeting with Minister of Information Dr. Paul Morcos that environmental media in Lebanon is entering a new phase of development and impact, marked by the launch of specialized media platforms and initiatives aimed at strengthening environmental awareness and supporting national policies for nature conservation and sustainability.
