Ghadi News Beirut — On March 3 each year, the world celebrates World Wildlife Day, an international occasion dedicated to highlighting the importance of biodiversity and its vital role in sustaining human life and healthy ecosystems. In this context, the Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL) and the GHADI Association, both members of the IUCN Members Network, joined the global celebration by shedding light on the critical role of medicinal and aromatic plants in supporting human health, preserving cultural heritage, and strengthening sustainable livelihoods within local communities.

Ghadi News Beirut – Mr. Fadi Ghanem, President of the Ghadi Association, Chairman of the Environmental Media Group, and IUCN Members Network Coordinator, affirmed following his meeting with Minister of Information Dr. Paul Morcos that environmental media in Lebanon is entering a new phase of development and impact, marked by the launch of specialized media platforms and initiatives aimed at strengthening environmental awareness and supporting national policies for nature conservation and sustainability.

Ghadi News On 16 February, Andre Bechara represented the Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL) at the “Sustainable Hunting and Green List Certification Workshop,” organized by the Regional Office for West Asia (ROWA) of the International Union for Conservation of Nature. The workshop was hosted by the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve at the Crowne Plaza Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

"Ghadi News" Beirut — At a pivotal moment in Lebanon’s efforts to strengthen its resilience to climate change, the capital hosted a high-level regional dialogue titled “Financing Climate Adaptation through Resilient Nature-Based Water Solutions: Regional Insights Shaping Lebanon’s Path.” The event took place on February 10, 2026, at the Radisson Blu Martinez Hotel, bringing together the Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Beirut, the Water Advisor at the Ministry of Energy and Water, the Al Murunah Project Lead at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), representatives from the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) West Asia Regional Office, environmental organizations, and experts from Jordan, Egypt, and Lebanon.
